Poser 4 - Figure Hairlines

Applications used - Poser 4 and Paint Shop Pro 7.
This tutorial was made in about a half hour so the final image quality isn't as good as one I will have spent several hours doing.
Ever made a Poser model and as soon as you stuck hair on it's bald head that it just didn't look right? I used to think that all the time and then I realised that it could be changed very easily by just slapping on an effect during the final editing process. This is a very simple technique for creating realistic looking hairlines and all you need is Poser 4 and PSP 7.

Step 1 - Once you have finished making your Poser image you should export it as an image by clicking (in Poser 4) "File > Export > As Image" and then save it as an image in the dialog box in the format and location you want. Then open up your poser image in PSP7. Doesn't look right does it? It looks like the character has been turned into a lego man.

Step 2 - Once you are in PSP 7 you need to select the 'Retouch' tool. Then using the Tool Options drop down box you need to set the 'Retouch Options' to 'Smudge'. Then set it to 'Horizontal Brush' and at a small size. Now zoom in close to the hair line so you see something like this.

Of course you can take longer than I did over it to get a better result out of the final draft and I don't think that green hair is up to blending that much so do try to avoid it.

There ya go! That's it! Try it yourself and show me the results!
